He played for Hirakata Boys during junior high.
During junior high school, he played for Hirakata Boys alongside Minoruman, the representative of Amazing. As a strong-armed, hard-hitting, and fast infielder, he won the national championship in his third year. In the same year, he was selected for the Samurai Japan U-15 team and participated in the Asia Challenge Match 2015.
From a lowerclassman to a star shortstop at a prestigious school, representing his generation.
After enrolling at Hotoku Gakuen, he made the team as a freshman in the spring and became a regular player that summer. In his first appearance at the Spring Koshien tournament in his sophomore year, he hit two home runs, leaving a strong impression both offensively and defensively. He was selected for the Samurai Japan U-18 team for two consecutive years and played as a representative shortstop of his generation.
Drafted first overall by the Hiroshima Toyo Carp
In the draft held on October 25, 2018, he received first-round nominations from four teams: Orix, Yokohama DeNA, Fukuoka SoftBank, and Hiroshima Toyo. After a lottery, the Hiroshima Toyo Carp won the negotiation rights. As a high school graduate rookie, he made the opening day roster.

While primarily entrusted with cleanup duties for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp, he has established himself as a foundational starter, excelling both offensively and defensively. He has also been selected for the Samurai Japan top team, and at the Premier12 held in autumn 2024, he led the team with a .387 batting average, 12 hits, and 2 home runs, earning a spot on the "WBSC All-World Team." He is expected to be a key player at the 2026 WBC and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
