This time, we will explain the features of the KK model and how it differs from the MM model.

What is the hardball wooden bat ULTIMUS?

ULTIMUS is a hardball wooden bat with a BFJ mark.
It's made from North American maple, which is harder than regular maple, birch, or white ash, making it easier to hit the ball with power.
It's available in a wide range of sizes, from 83cm/860g to 85cm/900g, so it can be used by high school players to adult baseball players.

Since its launch, it has been loved by many players, and is now our proud game bat used by top professional players.

About the new KK model

There are three main features of the KK model released this year.

・Mid-balance
・Cupped end
・Tie-cup

Easy-to-swing mid-balance

Baseball bats have three types of balance: ① top-heavy, ② mid-balance, and ③ counter-balance. Simply put, it's about whether the bat's center of gravity is at the end or the base. Top-heavy bats have the balance at the end, mid-balance bats have it in the middle, and counter-balance bats have it at the base.
The KK model uses a mid-balance.

A mid-balance bat hasits center of gravity in the middle, which results in faster swing speed and a smoother follow-through.It's suitable for players who prioritize accuracy and want to control their hits, making it ideal for contact hitters and power hitters who hit for average.

Cupped End

Bats can have either a cupped end or a solid end. The KK model features a cupped end. Cupping the end makes it lighter, shifting the balance towards the handle. The KK model, with its mid-balance and cupped end, is even easier to swing.

Tie-cup

There are two types of grips: the standard straight grip and the tie-cup grip, which gradually thickens towards the end. The advantage of the tie-cup grip is that the thicker knob makes it easier to grip the bat with your pinky and ring fingers. This reduces unnecessary tension in your hands and tends to improve bat control.

ULTIMUS is used by active professional players.
