For outside pitches, a common mistake is to fail to reach them, catching them on the tip of the bat, or swinging and missing. ZONE+ intentionally makes you repeatedly "get jammed at the base of the bat" to develop a strong ability to handle outside pitches. For inside pitches, you often get jammed at the base of the bat because you don't have enough room. With ZONE+, you practice "hitting the ball with the tip of the bat" to expand your options for handling inside pitches. Because you experience "reverse movements" that are usually impossible to consciously perform, it directly leads to overcoming weaknesses in actual games. At ZONE+, we intentionally practice special hitting techniques that are normally considered "mistakes," such as "hitting an outside pitch while crowding the plate" and "hitting an inside pitch off the end of the bat." The bat's hitting surface is zoned into three colors, with "IN" and "OUT" action designs strategically placed to encourage players to intentionally hit outside pitches with the taper and inside pitches with the tip. By deliberately incorporating movements that might seem negative at first glance, we dramatically improve a player's ability to handle pitches they previously struggled with. This allows for focused, repetitive training where players can exaggerate and boldly practice movements, simulating actual game situations.
